We are dedicated to the craft of developing people who develop others.
Every organisation relies on people who help others grow. Coaches, tutors, facilitators, managers, mentors, and educators.
We help organisations build thoughtful, confident and capable developers who don't simply deliver learning - they create meaningful development that changes practice.
Because when we invest in the people who develop others, the impact reaches far beyond a single workshop, course or conversation.
It shapes cultures, strengthens capability and improves performance.
What problem does Spark solve?
Most organisations do not struggle because they lack learning or information - they struggle because development does not always lead to meaningful change in practice.
Too often, the people responsible for helping others grow are expected to deliver, coach or facilitate without enough support to develop their own craft.
Spark Capability strengthens those developers, helping them create experiences that are more intentional, reflective, practical and built to last.
Our Founder
Development is done with people, not to them.
Spark Capability was founded by Conal Murnin, a coach, coach developer and learning practitioner with experience across professional sport, community development, and higher education.
His approach to development has been shaped by mentors who saw him as a person first - connecting with him, understanding his story and putting him at the heart of his own development.
That experience shaped a simple belief: developing people is about far more than transferring knowledge or teaching a skill.
It's about understanding who someone is, what they bring, what they need and how they can continue to grow.
Through his work developing coaches and players, Conal has seen the difference that human, individualised development can make.
Spark Capability exists to help more people experience that difference - by helping the people responsible for developing others become better developers themselves.
What could better development look like for you?
You don't need to have a perfectly defined brief.
You might have a specific development challenge, an idea you'd like to explore, or simply a sense that something could work better.
Tell us what's on your mind. We'll start there.
